On Monday afternoon, Shell and BP cut prices by another five cents and Caltex followed later.


Caltex has joined Shell and BP in dropping the price of petrol.
 
On Monday afternoon, Shell and BP cut prices by another five cents and Caltex followed later.
 
It means you will pay just under $1.77 for 91 octane and Super has dropped to $1.81.

Diesel is now $1.36.
 
It also means a litre of  91 octane petrol is down 40 cents since July.

However, there have been claims from various economic quarters that Kiwis have continued to pay too much, despite a world fall in crude oil prices.
