Many people in the West of Fiji are positive in their response to the People’s Charter.
Consultation teams say they’re getting a good response form citizens who want a say in the future of Fiji.
While it may have been thought the charter would be most popular with town dwellers, Press Secretary Commissioner Western Waisale Tora, says team leaders report they are striking a good note with the villages even to the point that people who were not home when the charter teams came by have requested they return is they can have their say in the future of Fiji.
Some villages have also requested to be further assistance in understanding some points in the draft Charter.
The teams will be visiting Rakiraki on the 11th of this month, Nadroga on the 12th, Lautoka on the 16th, and Nadi on the 17th.
