Emirates London 7s - 26th & 27th May 2007- Day 1
Fiji vs Argentina
Emirates Airlines London 7s kicked off with the IRB Circuit leaders taking on Argentina. It had drizzled in the morning and the temperature was round 16 degrees.
Fiji opened scoring with Sireli Naqelevuki and the conversion was missed by Ryder. Fiji 5 Argentina 0
It was in the 6th minute that Simione saravanua scored Fiji?s second try Fiji 10 Argentina 0 conversion missed by Ryder.
Second half belonged to Argentina!
Argentinean Juan Facundo Barni scored a terrific try as the game began, they missed the conversion and it was 10 to Fiji and 5 to Argentina. It took some brilliance from Argentina to get the second try and they took the lead. Argentina 12 Fiji 10
Then it was Fiji and Nasoni Roko goose step and sprint to finish under the post and Ryder converted to make it Fiji 19 Argentina 12.
Then it was day for Argentina as Horacio San Martin that scored near the far flag to make it 19 All .
The crowd at Twickenham held their breath as Martin Rodriguez took the conversion but he missed and score remained 19 all.
